CHILDREN SPANISH PROGRAM
WAYRA has created a special Spanish program for children. This specially designed Spanish course is more than a set of teaching aids; it is rooted in a method that is designed to stimulate different learning styles to capture the attention of our youngest students. Students can learn much faster and with a higher level of retention.
Depending on the age of the child, classes are a combination of educational field trips and classroom instruction using many visual and manual aids.
On the first day of class the children are given an evaluation to determinate their level of Spanish. Different groups are organized depending on the children’s level, age and interest.
This popular children's Spanish program is created for children up to 12 years old.
Baby sitters are available for parents traveling with children that do not attend school. We can also organize a nanny to take care of the children while the parents are taking classes. In some cases, the nanny may be a member of the host family. The nanny can take the children to the beach, children's park, or for a walk close to the school. Most of our nannies only speak Spanish. Prices for nannies are available upon request.
It is recommendable to make reservations for children's classes at least 8 weeks before classes begin, but we also accept reservations on shorter notice.
We offer during the summer break several 2 weeks courses for children. Of course, we also accept reservations for the children program on other dates and it is possible to extend more weeks, but these dates depend upon availability and have to be consulted first with our reservation department.

TEENAGER PROGRAM
Our teenager Spanish course in Tamarindo Beach has become a very successful program during the last few years. The course is designed to ensure that students enjoy their Spanish classes as much as they enjoy the time they spend at the beach. Classroom activities such as walks to the beach and the center of Tamarindo, plus all kinds of different games are used to make the learning process interesting and fun.
The aim of the course is to develop the students' language skills in all areas but the major emphasis is on developing speaking and comprehension skills, so there are a lot of practical activities that involve a great deal of interaction with locals. Since we receive students from a lot of different nationalities, it is relatively easy to ensure that everyone uses Spanish to communicate.
We also try to ensure that students get the most out of their visits to places of interest in and around Tamarindo. In addition, we organize during the week all kind of activities such as beach barbeques, Latin Dance classes, cooking classes, Canopy tours, soccer and volleyball games at the beach and more to allow our teenager students to have an unforgettable time while they study Spanish. In addition, we offer a great opportunity to combine Spanish lessons with surf lessons. For more information please check out our Spanish and Surf program.
This teenager Spanish program is designed for teenagers from 13 -16 years old. Teenagers that are younger than 16 years old and wish to attend our program without their parents or other adult supervision should be mature enough to be self-sufficient and responsible for their own decision-making. All students under age of 18 travelling alone are required to present a signed parental consent.
We offer during the summer break several 2 weeks courses for teenager. Of course we also accept reservations for the teenager program on other dates and it is possible to extend more weeks, but these dates depend upon availability and have to be consulted first with our reservation department.
