BILDUNGSURLAUB COURSE (30 GROUP LESSONS PER WEEK)
Our Spanish Intensive Courses for 1 or 2 weeks are recognized as "Bildungsurlaub" in several German provinces. This educational leave allows German employees to learn Spanish at WAYRA while receiving their regular income.
The course is specifically geared towards companies who wish to give their employees the chance to professionally develop their international communication skills, as well as towards private clients who want to brush up their rusty language skills for personal use.
The Intensive Course at WAYRA Spanish Institute has the recognitions of educational leave for the following federal states.

- Start dates: Every Monday.
- Lessons per week: 20 standard + 10 conversation lessons.
- Lessons per day: 4 standard + 2 conversation lessons=6 lessons per day.
- Duration: from 1 to 2 weeks.
- Levels: All levels, from A1 to C2.
- Maximum per Class: 6 students.
- Average per Class: 3-4 students.
- Class Schedule: WAYRA determines the schedule.
- Course composition: Development of language and communication skills, grammar, vocabulary.
- Requirements: Interview and placement test the first day to best determine your level.
- Exams: At the end of each course.
- Certificates: Attendance and Achievement Certificate at graduation.
- Note: Normally your schedule and teacher will rotate every week.
RATES - BILDUNGSURLAUB COURSE
All rates are in USD. VAT included.
If only 1 student is registered for the Bildungsurlaub course we offer 15 lessons per week instead of 20. Thanks to these one-to-one lessons, coupled with more efficient and focused learning, the student achieves by the end of the week the same learning goals as the 20 lessons course.
Classes include registration fee, placement test and VAT. Books are not included.
School holidays: There are no classes during the Easter Week from March 25th - March 29th, 2024 (lodging runs normaly). Additionally, the school will be closed from August 19th, 2024 - September 15th, 2024 (incl. lodging) and during Christmas week from December 23rd - December 25th, 2024 (lodging runs normally). National holidays: January 1st, April 11th, May 1st, July 25th, August 1st, December 1st and December 25th. National holidays are subject to change. There is no refund for National Holidays.
LEVELS OF SPANISH
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TEST
Measure your command of the Spanish Language with the free WAYRA language proficiency test. WAYRA provide the opportunity for you, to test your proficiency level of the Spanish language. We have based this test on the standard grammar and vocabulary that you would find in any language-learning materials. WAYRA offer these tests for self-evaluation purposes only. You may find that your score on this test is not consistent with other tests you have taken.
A1: BREAKTHROUGH OR BEGINNER
Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
A2: WAY STAGE OR ELEMENTARY
Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
B1: THRESHOLD OR INTERMEDIATE
Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
B2: VANTAGE OR UPPER INTERMEDIATE
Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
C1: EFFECTIVE OPERATIONAL PROFICIENCY OR ADVANCED
Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
C2: MASTERY OR PROFICIENCY
Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.
